My Asics Speedstar's seem to have exceeded their lifespan, which was not all that long--probably 400 miles. But I liked them and have ordered another pair. So today I ran in my DS Trainers, which are unfortunately a little  too small but still runnable. 

It was 17 degrees out, I ran the U/Federal Heights/Memory Grove loop.  I ran 8 strides on 11th Avenue of varying lengths. I enjoyed that.

There is something "Beethoven Sonata" like about 11th. Probably one of the most boring stretches of road but the grade, heaven...
