Ok, so now a complete entry: A group of six of us headed up to Park City yesterday morning at 5:30 and ran the Round Valley trails. We had local guidance, which was great. The snow on the trail was packed down and we had a great run. We all ran with headlamps on our forehads and snow-gripping YakTraks or MicroSpikes on our feet. It was a beautiful morning, probably 15-18 degrees, but no wind. So nice to be running above the muck in the valley. I saw stars! Imagine that! Stars! In the sky!
The trail was about 50/50 singletrack and doubletrack. There was plenty of climbing as well, which made the 8 miles feel more challenging than the distance suggests. |
