No running, no biking. I did make a trip to see the doctor about my foot. She (Dr. Cooper) agreed that I had chronic plantar fasciitis, but that didn't alone explain the pain on the outside of my foot, which is on or very near the bone.  My concern is it may be a stress fracture and she couldn't rule that out. She took an x ray, didn't see any sign of a SF, but it sometimes doesn't show up in an x-ray.  She offered three alternatives: 1) get a cortisone shot for the PF; 2) get an MRI on the foot to see what's going on (at a cost of ~$1,000); or 3) wear a walking boot for two weeks and see if that calms everything down, then re-evaluate whether to do the shot. I chose option 3, so I'm now wearing a big black walking boot. It sort of looks like something out of Star Wars.  My boy Jack thinks it looks like Batman's boot.  I will say this; for as ridiculous as it looks, my heel feels better in this thing than it has in at least two months.

Fortunately, I have the green light to swim and bike, but need to wear the boot pretty much all other times.
