Short-Term Running Goals:

Now that I'm (almost for sure) done having all the babies, I'm working on building consistency and seeing how fast I can get in my old age. ;)

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to be a healthy and relatively injury-free runner for the rest of my life.  

Personal:

I'm married to Eric (Faceless Ghost on the blog) and we have very active daughters and one dog. I have a PhD in sociology and demography, and I'm incredibly grateful to have work that is meaningful and that builds on my academic experience. I run because it makes me feel strong and it helps to keep the crazy away (there is a long history of abuse and mental illness in my extended family).

I didn't feel like waiting until tomorrow to try running again. So I slapped on an adult diaper and took another trip to the track with Tigger. I felt pretty good during the mile and thought about going longer, but I stopped just in case there's a reason my doctor said to wait at least three weeks before running. 

I was really really glad to be out, though. I stink at breastfeeding, and staying home every day makes me miserable, and several times a day (and night) I want to run away, but at least I'm going to be able to run again.

Here's a picture of Baby. She's two weeks old today! And already she's changed a lot since she came out.

There was something going on at the high school track so I did a mile on the treadmill at the gym. Not as good as being out in the sun, but still nice to run (even if it's only a tiny bit).
