Short-Term Running Goals:

Now that I'm (almost for sure) done having all the babies, I'm working on building consistency and seeing how fast I can get in my old age. ;)

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to be a healthy and relatively injury-free runner for the rest of my life.

Personal:

I'm married to Eric (Faceless Ghost on the blog) and we have very active daughters and one dog. I have a PhD in sociology and demography, and I'm incredibly grateful to have work that is meaningful and that builds on my academic experience. I run because it makes me feel strong and it helps to keep the crazy away (there is a long history of abuse and mental illness in my extended family).

I'm glad you are enjoying some time out! Your sweet little girl is just precious. Sorry life had you down earlier this week, no one usually tells you how horrible having a beautiful little baby can be. It is so NOT easy! Getting out and doing your thing, even if you have to bring baby along will help TREMENDOUSLY! Keep at it and know that it will pass. Some days it may seem like an eternity, but it will pass.

Thanks everyone.

Allie - I'm feeling okay. And Baby's super cute. Yes, let's run it next year - we'll both PR, and you'll win and I'll not pee myself. :)

Rachel - Yes, she's amazing, but it was a hard adjustment. I talked to someone yesterday who had to pump every 2 hours for the first 6 weeks of one of her babies, though, and that made me feel like I don't have it that bad.
