Now that I'm (almost for sure) done having all the babies, I'm working on building consistency and seeing how fast I can get in my old age. ;)

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to be a healthy and relatively injury-free runner for the rest of my life.  

Personal:

I'm married to Eric (Faceless Ghost on the blog) and we have very active daughters and one dog. I have a PhD in sociology and demography, and I'm incredibly grateful to have work that is meaningful and that builds on my academic experience. I run because it makes me feel strong and it helps to keep the crazy away (there is a long history of abuse and mental illness in my extended family).

I've got the day off work because I had to work last weekend (pretty lame that after I start working for the church I have to work on Sunday for the first time in over 10 years), so I went out for a wandery run in the late morning. I had been planning on doing Eric's BST loop, but we were up late last night and it's supposed to be 10 degrees cooler tomorrow, so I put it off. 

And my Kinvaras came today. I think they're beautiful.

Oh, I agree! LOVE THE SHOES!!! Are they trail shoes? I need to get some, but I keep putting it off. If I do not start running on trails I will never hit that dang ultra!

So, why did the church have you working on a Sunday? Honestly, I think I do more on Sundays than any other day of the week!
