Showed up this morning at 5:30 to run with Sasha and Jeff. We have a theory that running in the heat makes me have symptoms, so I'm trying the super-early morning thing. It was painful, we averaged something like 8:20 pace (41:30), but the nap I took before work was a m a z i n g. Nothing like an endorphin-enduced coma.

I was supposed to show up at Sasha's house at 5:00, but the snooze alarm woke me up the third time around at 5:02. Dang. I got up, thought about going back to bed, but convinced myself to wander over to Sasha's house to see if they had waited for me. I told myself I'd go back to bed if they weren't there.

They weren't there, but I figured since I was there I'd go on a run. I was looking forward to the nap afterwards. I'm telling you, post-run naps are incredible. So I plodded through 5 miles at around 8:00 pace and ended up with 39:30 at the end, glad to have muscled through another early morning.
