I wanted to test some of the hills of the upcoming trail marathon, especially my legs on them, and at the same time spend at least two hours on my feet. I accomplished both missions, I did two big hills, 11.1 miles with half of them uphill and half of them dowhill, in 2:23:48, nothing really fast because even the downhill was technical and it was difficult to push the pace without risking a face landing (plus I am a wimp going downhill). During the last three miles I was really thirsty and hungry, next time I will bring some food and liquids. In three weeks I will be happy to post this time half way through the race.
