Personal:

My name is Eugenio I was born near Rome, Italy, in 1972 and lived there for 29 years, then in 2001 I moved to Salt Lake City for work and for seven years and one month that was my home, since 2008 I am back to Italy. I started running in 2003 when I realized I could not ride my bike throughout the Utah winter.

6.40

After 0.2 miles I was wet from head to toe, after another mile I was wet, miserable, cold, alone in the dark in a desert industrial area; instead going home I transformed my training in a mental training I was no longer there but I was running the last 10 km of a marathon and I had to cross the finish line. It really worked my brain started focusing on this task and was no longer "distracted" by negative thoughts. During the last km it stopped raining, it was my reward.

Great idea! I think i'll use that one when I get tired and discouraged.

Just be careful sometimes this trick doesn't work, especially when things outside and/or inside are really "bad". For me it works about 70% of the time.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.
