Personal:

My name is Eugenio I was born near Rome, Italy, in 1972 and lived there for 29 years, then in 2001 I moved to Salt Lake City for work and for seven years and one month that was my home, since 2008 I am back to Italy. I started running in 2003 when I realized I could not ride my bike throughout the Utah winter.

I did a very good evening workout, 10 miles at HM pace 4:18/km (1:08:48 total time), and then half mile cool down. I feel I earned the right to have dinner tonight :-).

Boun Appetito!

That 3:15 marathon goal is looking obtainable with workouts like that.

Thank Tbean for your kind words but I have still work to do to get to 3:15.

After moving back to Italy my running was just basic maintenance and I didn't run any marathon or half marathon until 2010, just lots of 10s. My training was really skewed toward faster pace and it showed last spring when I did a half in 1:31 and the marathon after one month in 3:27. It really showed lack of mileage. For this reason I tried to run as many miles as possible in 2010 (and I did it), and now I try to include some marathon pace runs that "obviously" end up being a little bit too fast. I will try to keep a decent mileage with long runs and see what happens.
