What's RSV? Hope things get better.

Mike - RSV is a respitory virus that is common this time of year where the person with it over produces thick mucus. It is very scary when babies get it because they are unable to clear it out on their own and can "drown" in the mucus. We are so lucky that the doctor was able to catch it when he did. She has had her lungs suctioned out several times and has had the aid of oxygen. As soon as she can make it an entire night without the oxygen or being suctioned, we will be released. It all depends on her and her body's ability to work this out.

How is she now?

From Camille on Fri, Jan 22, 2010 at 11:51:02 from 71.223.70.181

She is out of the hospital and doing much better. She is still recovering, but the doctor checked her out yesterday and said she is on the right path.
