Woke up this morning not really wanting to go for a run! I was tired and unmotivated. But I couldn't feel good about my day without doing my run. I ate my oatmeal and headed out. I HATE the first 2 1/2 miles!!! They are hell for me. I was not having a very good first few miles and was thinking about cutting it short. I walked for a minute got a drink and than poured cold water down my back and on my legs. That felt awesome!! From there I got the rest of my run in. 5 miles!!! I was really happy about it and the best thing about it was that the last mile I felt awesome!!! I feel like I am getting to where I was right before I got my injury and that was all I was hoping for this summer. I have no time goals I just want to get back to where I was. The only thing is my shin is starting to hurt again! I am not quite sure what to make of it! It doesn't hurt when I run, only after. I think it stems from the pain that is on the top of my ankle. Like it is the tendon. Does any one have any thoughts about a sore tendon that runs from the front of your shin down to your ankle? |
