I felt bad for flaking out on Maggie, so I texted her to see if she wanted to go hiking with us today.  I figured she could bring her kids and stuff.  She was going to come, but at 1am she texted to say that she had just got done playing 007.  So now she's the flake.  So it was just me and Vickie.  We hiked Wind Cave.  I saw Tom Haws as he was coming down and we were going up.

I woke up around 4am.  Figured it wouldn't be worth trying to go back to sleep since the rooster would be waking me up any moment.  I was right.  I started running at 6:28am.  It's warm.

I've been seeing kittens for the last few nights when I take Herbie on a walk.  They live in the front yard five houses down from me.  I paused real quick to see if I could spot them this morning.  They were there nursing.

There was a lot of people out.  I thought we were supposed to be under curfew or something.  As I approached University, I saw a vehicle pull up to park by the fence.  A lady and her little dog got out.  The dog was so excited to be out and sniff the fence that I don't think it noticed me.  So I said, "Hello, puppy!"  When it heard me it looked like it was excited to see me, so I bent down to pet it.  When I reached for it, it started yelping like it was hurt.  I think I overstepped my boundaries.

I felt sluggish today.  I think it's because I took Herbie on an extra long walk last night.  We went about 3 times the distance that we usually go.  On the way home I saw the kittens again.  I also saw Jacie and Julie.  They're Emily's age.  They're twins.  They were walking their dog.  I pointed at the first one and said, "Hi Jacie."  Then I pointed at the next one and said, "Hi Julie."  The way they smiled made me think I had guessed wrong who was who.  I had a 50/50 shot.
