I had every intention of running home again from work.  But I tried to do a million things this morning.  I cut my hair.  I missed a nice patch in the back.  I packed my duffel bag.  I checked the fluids in my vehicle.  I scraped the ice off my windshield.  I had to get gas.  I needed to email out the plans I finished last night, and my internet was acting up.  I needed to pack my lunch, but we didn't have anything.  I was running all over the place and ultimately forgot to grab my duffel bag.  I was mad and honked my horn in a school zone.  I got to work on that road rage thing.

Anyway, I suited up when I got home and went out for 7.  I'm running real slow these days, but at least I'm running.  I joined a Del Sol Ragnar team last night.  It should be interesting.  The name leaves something to be desired.  I'm too embarrassed to say what it is.  I shouldn't have committed until I knew what the name was.  Let that be a lesson to you kids.  Funny because two weeks ago I was invited to be on another team.  The problem was I know that this team snuck alcohol in their coffee mugs so they could drink out on the course.  I emailed the team captain and said that as an ambassador for Ragar, I can't knowingly be on a team that's going to break the rules.  I never heard back from them so I joined this other team.

Alcohol + running = disaster.

Good miles! Sorry about the road rage.

I'm glad a closet lush like you agrees. Oops. It's not in the closet anymore.

I drink much, much less than the average Midwestern Catholic. 1 drink every few months is about my tolerance level. That's abnormal for people in my circle.

So what's the name? I can tell you're dying to tell...

Thanks for clearing up that nasty rumor I was about to spread about you. I still reserve the right to start it again at a later date.

As for the name, if you're lucky, I'll text it to you. Do you feel lucky?

drinking while running sounds like the worst time to be had!

From Burt on Fri, Feb 01, 2013 at 15:19:41 from 71.216.109.214

Ericka - I wouldn't know. I guess I'm more opposed to the drinking and driving thing. I've got a sister that lives with me who has brain damage due to her ex-husband drinking and driving. No bueno :(

wow, drinking in the van illegally, on the course, on the road, at night, with no sleep, tired from running, with runners/pedestrians/targets everywhere, and your road rage...what could go wrong? I don't know why you left that team.

Nice 7 miles though! Text me the name of your team too. My number is 911-1234.

Hold the phone "I scraped the ice off my windshield"?!? I didn't think you had ice down there.

From Burt on Fri, Feb 01, 2013 at 19:39:39 from 72.223.80.89

Joe - I'll just call you.

Chad - It's a sign of the times.
