I miss not being able to read everyone's blogs anymore.  I just can't find the time :(

I barely have time to run which I guess isn't that bad since I can barely run.  I slept in until 11am.  Of course I went to bed at 6am, so maybe it wasn't really sleeping in.  I got out the door at noon, and it was 70°  out.  In your face America!
I needed to get out because this week I got a Facebook message from my friend Mike Somar.  He invited me to run the Mad Mud Run with him again this year.  This year's theme will be Pac Man.  We'll see if he can keep his streak of best costumes going.

Time - 26:57 (avg. pace 8:57)

Hi Burt. Are you still searching for employment? I am behind on your life.

From Burt on Sat, Nov 12, 2011 at 22:10:14 from 174.255.245.73

I did get a job. It's not great but I think it's gonna work for what I want to do.

From SlowJoe on Sun, Nov 13, 2011 at 10:46:21 from 74.196.65.182

Nice run Burt. Are you going to be Ms. Pacman?

From Burt on Sun, Nov 13, 2011 at 13:26:23 from 72.223.91.148

I have a rule against dressing in drag.

From DaleG on Sun, Nov 13, 2011 at 13:55:08 from 184.193.243.70

Hey Burt, I'm sorry you don't have much free time anymore, but I'm glad you're able to run once in a while. I take it the injury hasn't gotten any better yet?

From april27 on Sun, Nov 13, 2011 at 13:59:50 from 99.188.251.180

How is the hammie?

From Tara on Sun, Nov 13, 2011 at 21:39:17 from 75.169.159.43

Get better. Good thing running isn't everything, and reading everyone's blogs is not really that important either:) Take care of yourself.

From Burt on Mon, Nov 14, 2011 at 01:08:26 from 174.254.9.195

Dale and April - hammy's not any better. I can run just slowly.

Tara - I always read your blog no matter what.

From julieesplin on Mon, Nov 14, 2011 at 12:26:25 from 75.169.169.126

Sit on the edge of the toilet (seat down) and dig into your hamstring with your fingers rubbing back and forth from side to side where it hurts the most. I think this is the best way to really work out a hamstring. Or you can stand and put your foot on the edge of the toilet (again seat down) to really get it good. Do this before you hang your sweaty clothes up on the shower curtain.

From Burt on Mon, Nov 14, 2011 at 16:36:00 from 68.14.209.26

Julie! Why does it have to be a toilet???

From allie on Mon, Nov 14, 2011 at 18:54:28 from 161.38.218.168

julie - LOL.

burt - yo! i'm glad you found a job. not having as much time for the blog isn't such a bad thing. i waste 20% of my work day hanging out on here. the other 80% of the time i spend playing around on paint.

From Steam8 on Mon, Nov 14, 2011 at 19:32:03 from 166.70.55.77

You are missed too! Not as much fun on here with out your Burty!

From The Quiet Pirate on Tue, Nov 15, 2011 at 13:32:33 from 152.26.59.252

I keep reading and re-reading the "edge of the toilet seat" directions. Whew.

Burt- your mud run sounds like fun. I can't wait to see your costume & photos. Running slow is sometimes more fun than running fast. It gives you a chance to take in more of your surroundings. More bodies in the canal, more men at the magic fountain, and more lady liberty stories.

From Burt on Tue, Nov 15, 2011 at 15:23:55 from 68.14.209.26

allie - You should spend 20% on FRB, 20% on Paint and 60% on jokes.

Amy - I'll be around next week. Get ready.

QP - I think a javelina clogged up one of the laterals yesterday.

From Britta on Tue, Nov 15, 2011 at 23:42:25 from 99.72.11.25

How do i link someones blog to their name on my blog? I tried to do that with jackie's but it only goes to the home page of the running blog.

From Burt on Wed, Nov 16, 2011 at 08:33:23 from 72.223.91.148

I'll private message you Britta.

From Tara on Wed, Nov 16, 2011 at 20:38:36 from 75.169.159.43

Huh, Burt if you know how to do that so well, why don't you practice with my name in your left column?

In all seriousness, I've tried to add to mine but I can't. I think something is wrong....maybe I need that PM to me too. Or maybe I need to delete everyone and start over? I'm not giving you my password.

From MichelleL on Fri, Nov 18, 2011 at 08:13:52 from 218.219.224.25

Poor Burt, the lone faithful. What do you do when you're not texting and driving anyway? Can I guess? Are you a top secret Ronald McDonald?

From Burt on Fri, Nov 18, 2011 at 15:11:51 from 68.14.209.26

Tara - Just change your password temporarily. After I fix it you can change it back. Piece of cake.

Michelle - I don't need your pity comments. I am not a Ronald McDonald, but we are tight. Seriously. I have his phone number.

From Tara on Fri, Nov 18, 2011 at 22:10:25 from 75.169.159.43

Oh my gosh....I see something very pleasing:) I know the prob with mine, I need to cut down on the "about me" stuff. I think I am allowed so many characters. After my 5k next week, most will go off and friends will magically appear. If that doesn't work....you might get my password, but probably not. I'm optimistic about this friendship.

From flatlander on Sat, Nov 19, 2011 at 10:46:15 from 76.31.26.153

Looks like you are really busy, but glad you are still able to blog a little. Hope all is well.

From Burt on Sat, Nov 19, 2011 at 15:34:13 from 72.223.93.131

Tara - yeah right. Still gonna need that password.

Mark - All is well. All is well.

From PRE on Sun, Nov 20, 2011 at 09:15:37 from 99.50.213.11

Burt,

Hope you and your family are doing okay and that adjusting to the new job and work schedule has not been too difficult.

From Burt on Sun, Nov 20, 2011 at 14:47:53 from 72.223.93.131

Thanks PRE. Just read your race report. Congrats on the PR.
