Running in beautiful Santa Clara, CA.  Our hotel room was about 3/4 miles away from the Yahoo! inc GA-3 building.

I was breathing pretty hard the first half mile which I thought was weird because I was only at 24 feet above sea level.  But after that it felt great and I pushed the pace a bit.

Time - 48:41 (avg. pace 8:07)

Splits - 8:32, 8:04, 8:12, 7:45, 7:57, 8:13

Sometimes all that extra oxygen suffocates us a little bit!

Nice work...couldn't beat that pace today!! :) Oh, and nice to have you back. I think we've all missed you more than we'd like to admit.

From The Quiet Pirate on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 10:20:31 from 174.110.223.249

That is a nice pace! Maybe the pollution was making it hard to breathe?

RAD- you're right; more than we'd like to admit...

From Tracy on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 11:11:52 from 173.24.38.54

Yahoooooo!

From SlowJoe on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 11:15:47 from 132.3.53.68

Nice run, nice pace -- I bet it feels great there after running in AZ.

That sign looks like a poster along a marathon route. I have noticed that you are picking up the pace a lot lately, really looking good. Are you considering another marathon anytime soon?

From allie on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 13:32:44 from 24.10.191.18

nice pace, burt! not sure what "yahoo!" is, but the name is cool...

From Burt on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 13:40:55 from 206.19.214.144

RAD - admit it. I'm the salt of your life. Without me, there's no flavor.

QP - There didn't appear to be any pollution other than what's been polluting my mind from reading your blog.

From Burt on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 13:43:38 from 206.19.214.144

Tracy - You sounded like a cowboy howling at the moon when you said that.

Joe - oh my gosh! I wasn't ready to run in the heat this morning after being spoiled in that weather.

Mark - In the very very very back of my mind I'm considering doing the Mesquite Marathon again.

allie - Yahoo I believe is a home security company. I got an email from them.

From allie on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 13:45:07 from 24.10.191.18

cool. forward it to me.

From Burt on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 13:46:33 from 206.19.214.144

Done and done.

From Rob on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 14:00:48 from 72.254.182.113

I think that sign was just encouragement for Burt. "Yahoo Burt keep going" "No don't stop to take a picture, go, go, go!"

From Burt on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 15:17:52 from 206.19.214.144

Rob - Don't you remember my whole stop and take time to smell the roses entry?

From Rob on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 15:48:29 from 72.254.182.113

Oh, I see now. That was a picture of the flowers not the sign.

From flatlander on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 15:51:38 from 198.207.244.102

I think those are petunias, Burt.
