My wife wants to get serious about losing weight, so we broke out a workout DVD that we've never used and tried it out last night.  It was a 15 minute Men's Health total body workout.  Afterwards I rewarded myself with some Rocky Road Ice Cream.  That was my treat for doing the half marathon instead of chili dogs and a root beer float.  This morning when I started my run, my back felt a little tight.  But after about half a mile it felt good proving once again that running is the cure-all for what ails you.

Nice pace on that run. So did you share the ice cream with you wife who is getting serious about losing weight, or did you just eat infront of her and torture her?

Hey, I was removing the temptation. I don't think she likes Rocky Road anyway. Her ice cream of choice is Gold Medal Ribbon.

Weight loss is really an amazing journey. She will do great! Just remember my mantra, "You can't eat it if you don't have it!" That goes for Gold Medal Ribbon and Doritos as well as for fruits, veggies, whole grains and lean meats. Self control is essential, but it can use a BUNCH of help by making our environments as "good" as possible :) Tell her good luck!!!

Support your wife, eat everything now and get it our of the house!

Good job, Burt! I read your race report. Great job on a massive PR.

I liked looking at your race report! A good solid race--and it's always good to hold off someone in the end!

I love treating myself to ice cream when I've had a good run. The problem is that it's hard to have a bad run when you're standards are as low as mine. Therefore I eat ice cream almost every day.

I like your style Tracy. LOL!
