Whip Thain Filkin!  I made the decision to forego my planned 5.6 mile easy run and ride the mountain bike to work instead.  But guess what.  It's raining!  I'm so mad at mother nature I could kick her in the ovarian cyst!

You are one mean guy. I do not ever want to make you mad.

From seeaprilrun on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 12:32:52 from 68.103.242.46

So did you ride in the rain?

From Burt on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 12:43:39 from 206.19.214.144

Auntie McGee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

April - Nope. I tried to convince myself to do it, but the clouds look like the kind of clouds that are going to stick around all day.

From KP on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 12:46:33 from 65.208.22.25

Lazy. Just plain lazy, Burt.

From Burt on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 12:53:13 from 206.19.214.144

You sure know how to build my self esteem up KristEn.

From SlowJoe on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 13:25:48 from 131.59.200.80

You're right to be aggresive toward mother nature. She knows all your plans for outdoors at all times and will not rest until she's foiled them all.

From Nevels on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 13:54:45 from 131.204.15.93

whip thain filkin? at most i think we should put him in the stocks; thain's a nice guy, and my whippin' arm is a bit sore...

From Burt on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 14:10:07 from 206.19.214.144

Joe - she's a woman scorned.

Nevels - Plus he's best friends with Rattletrap now.

KP - There's no reason we need to be shackled by the strictures of the employee-employer relationship. Unless you're into that sort of thing. In which case, I got some shackles in the back. I'm just kidding. But seriously, I've got 'em.

From RAD on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 15:18:21 from 67.172.229.125

STINK! I'd like to know where Mother Nature's ovarian cyst is and I'll kick her too!

From Burt on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 15:50:21 from 206.19.214.144

Probably in her neck RAD. That's where mine is.

From Nevels on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 15:56:51 from 131.204.15.93

burt, the more i learn about you, the more interesting you are

From RAD on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 16:15:30 from 67.172.229.125

all right then - watch out, she's getting a nice swift kick in the neck!!! I hope her neck doesn't lie in your 'neck' of the woods :)

From Burt on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 17:00:23 from 206.19.214.144

Nevels - this is going to be more information than you'll want to know, but I'm going to tell you anyway. I had a cyst that grew on my neck a couple of years ago. My friend and I called it my ovarian cyst. So, I went to the doctor to have him remove it. He cut it open and started squeezing away. Oh my gosh, it stunk SO bad!

RAD - thanks for having my back. and my neck.

From KP on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 17:09:48 from 65.208.22.25

More information that you want to know, KP edition: I wonder if that is a full time job? "Cyst squeezer," that is. I am constantly picking at things. For example I have a scabbed up hand and elbow from a fall I took while running last week. I pick at it all.day.long. I think I would enjoy that profession.

From Burt on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 17:15:49 from 206.19.214.144

It takes a special kind of person to be able to do that. My wife loves to squeeze pimples, and my sister-in-law has a fetish with pulling out my ear hair.

From Kelli on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 18:00:44 from 71.219.89.155

Oh, Burt, you crack me up.

We go snow and crazy wind, so quit your whining!

From Merri on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 00:56:45 from 160.7.252.148

ha ha lol

From Nevels on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 02:01:17 from 131.204.15.93

i had to get the Inimitable Mother to try to cut a cyst off my back once, and even with her digging in my back and me in agony on a bed, she couldn't dig it out, so later i managed to squeeze it out through the hole she had made (she just hadn't made it quite big enough...)

what a fun thread

From Nan on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 12:20:40 from 174.51.250.151

Why did I just read that whole thread? I think I'll go throw up now.

From Burt on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 12:54:00 from 206.19.214.144

My goal in life is to make Nan throw up. This should do it. So after the doctor was done squeezing, he didn't sew it back up. He did what was called a reverse suture, I think. Basically, he rolled up a piece of gauze and left it in my neck. After a week I had to pull it out. This way, my neck could continue to weep out pus. So my wife pulled it out, and I went to go squeeze it. It looked like my neck had regurgitated pus. Have you ever squeezed a pimple and the stem of pus shoots out and stops? Magnify that by 100. That was 6 years ago. To this day I can still squeeze it and get small amounts of pus out. It still stinks, too.

From KP on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 12:56:35 from 65.208.22.25

I would totally squeeze it for you. Totally.

Go throw up some more, Nan.

From Nevels on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 12:56:42 from 131.204.15.93

sounds like a great stress reliever...

(off to lunch!)
