This morning when I ran, it felt so much better than Saturday night.  I think the problem Saturday was that I just finished eating like 15 chicken nuggets and a burger.  Nonetheless, I still decided to run on the canal to limit human contact.  Within the last year they put a nice 10 foot wide sidewalk alongside the canal that also connects to the magic water fountain.  They also put some pedestrian lights.  31 in between Southern and Lindsay, to be exact.  And they put in a pedestrian cross walk at Southern.  Lindsay, too, come to think of it.  Anyway, I got to Southern and I pushed the button to cross.  Actually, it was more of a sensor than button.  I seriously only had to wait about three seconds before it stopped traffic and let me go.  I felt kinda bad because I was running, and the cars would have to wait there until the light turned green.  Which was a while, I'm sure.  Then I ran almost to the freeway and I realized I was at the park where my son just broke both his tibia and fibula.  He now has a 15-inch rod in his leg that will be there for the rest of his life.  I ran over to the concrete spillway where he fell off his skateboard.  It's pretty big.  I said, "Yep.  That'll do it."  Then I ran back home.

I had some time to kill because I needed to register as a volunteer for the Third Thursday Adventure Run at 10am.  If you try earlier, they won't accept you.  By they, I mean the same they that built the sidewalk, lamps, and crosswalks.  So, since I've just finished watching 24 on Netflix, I watched the pilot episode of Prison Break.  I think I'm going to enjoy it.

After signing up to volunteer I got on my bike to ride out to one of my new projects.  My client wants me to design a right turn lane on Higley Road.  So I got the brilliant idea to video that portion of the road where the right turn lane will be while riding my bike.  Below is the result of a morning's worth of work.  At least I got a good 17.25 miles in.

I confess that I didn't watch the video. I'm sure it is really awesome. But I commend you on your run and bike ride. You're the man.

From Burt on Tue, May 07, 2013 at 18:32:03 from 72.223.88.98

Thanks Tracy. I understand. You're checking your blog on your phone and you're worried about overages.

From Tracy on Tue, May 07, 2013 at 20:19:59 from 50.103.254.253

I did watch the video, but I'm not sure what I was watching.

From artichoke on Tue, May 07, 2013 at 20:57:55 from 174.52.123.59

I watched the entire thing. I think you crashed and fell off at the end. Award winning video.

From Tracy on Tue, May 07, 2013 at 21:08:20 from 50.103.254.253

I guess I should have watched the whole thing.

From Burt on Tue, May 07, 2013 at 21:32:02 from 72.223.88.98

LOL! No crashing. Just the worst video ever taken. And 1 minute and 41 seconds of your lives that you'll never get back. Did you see those poor guys that had to sit there and wait for me?

From Neasts on Tue, May 07, 2013 at 21:39:26 from 75.169.56.70

My favorite part was envisioning that little cloud in the sky to be a tiny, snow-covered tip of an invisible mountain.

From Burt on Tue, May 07, 2013 at 21:43:40 from 72.223.88.98

Snow-covered tip of an invisible mountain? Neasts, you just got put on my list of Weirdest Bloggers on the Blog.

Cool!

Good run Burt, you're on a roll! I loved Prison Break, except I stopped watching it with 8 episodes left. So I guess I didn't LOVE it that much. First season was the best.

From Burt on Tue, May 07, 2013 at 22:33:05 from 72.223.88.98

Gee Tara. It's not like you to quit something before it's over.

From SlowJoe on Wed, May 08, 2013 at 07:52:23 from 155.219.241.10

Based on the comments I've decided not to watch your video, but wow your son's fall sounds painful, poor guy. Hope he's all better now.

Is your client perhaps the government? Because you might want to check with them before starting construction. I tried to redirect the turnpike exit to my driveway one time so I wouldn't have to wait through all the stop signs. They were not pleased.

From ben on Wed, May 08, 2013 at 09:05:48 from 209.33.248.15

I though the little white cloud was a ufo and bad video made it hard to identify.

From Burt on Wed, May 08, 2013 at 12:41:55 from 72.223.88.98

Joe - I admire your ambition.

Ben - Does this mean you're not going to hire me to video your daughter's wedding? And it probably is a UFO. Who ever heard of a cloud in Arizona?

From Burt on Wed, May 08, 2013 at 12:46:53 from 72.223.88.98

BTW Joe - he's not better. He's Mr. Grumpy Pants now. And I have a feeling all the meds he's on is going to create a dependency from which he'll never recover.

I'll admit I have posted some bizarre videos on the blog, but this is the worst ever. I want my 1:41 back.

From ACorn on Sat, May 11, 2013 at 15:48:32 from 71.213.40.95

That's just as good as a lot of shows on television these days. Have you sent it to any networks?

From Burt on Sun, May 12, 2013 at 11:19:38 from 72.223.88.98

I sent it to ESPN 8 the ocho.
