Day 26 P90X - Core Synergistics

Holy cow!  I should feel that in the morning!

Has anybody heard of the HCG diet?  I started it this week with my wife.  I haven't heard anything bad about it.  Then again, I really haven't done my research.  Anyone?

I put gas in my truck today.

hrc is a hormone produced specifically during pregnancy.

this from wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_chorionic_gonadotropin

here is a quote:

The controversy proceeds from warnings by the Journal of the American Medical Association[13] and the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition[14] that hCG is neither safe,[13] nor effective as a weight-loss aid.[15]

I read quackwatch a lot and like Barrett, maybe read this from him(reference 15 from above):

As a rule, I avoid fad diets. Exercise, eating good foods (no soda), and eating in moderation are the best way to lose weight, in my opinion. But good luck whatever you do!

Thanks for the input Scott. I'm especially thankful to know that I've been drinking the urine of pregnant women for the last 5 days.

WHAT?

From Scott Ensign on Sat, Jul 31, 2010 at 20:00:41 from 67.41.171.30

well Burt, at least it isn't soda, and it is probably low in calories, though might be a bit salty?

Scott E. was so funny I thought it was Scott W. Hehe. I was just talking about HCG with my hubby today...I'm a bit nervous about that diet. (You know how suddenly the oh So safe Splenda is now the Devil) The thing is it can be deemed safe for a while, then new research comes out and..well you know....The plus side of the HCG diet is the Non hormone part. The food the HCG Plan has you eating some good things. Anyhooo Good luck as Steve says. It always feels great to shed a few pounds. :D

Ever seen Dodgeball?

"Necessary? Is it necessary that I drink my own urine? No, but I do because it's sterile, and I like the taste."

It's funnier because lots of bodybuilders actual drink it. I have heard it argued that it is like a customized vitamin drink. Seems to me it would be the exact opposite, because if the body needed that vitamin it would have used it, not spit it out as waste. The vitamins in the pee is the stuff the body has to much of.

HCG diet is like the Atkins diet. Either you drink urine all you want or meat all you want. The weight doesn't stay off, it comes back with a vegeance. If any weight needs to be lost we should visit Jillian and Bob especially all their infomercials : D. Seriously, eat less, exercise more. Avoid processed foods (white flour, sugar, lots of different ingredients listed on a food is considered highly processed) and veg out on veggies. Oh and lots of water, no cola. "I sure could use a cola" doesn't work here. Sorry. If you are parched, drink water, no fake stuff added. There's my two cents. or 2 sense. or too much sense.
