AM:  easy meandering stroll down memory lane.  ran from my parents place out to West Circle and Crescent Dr(the second house I grew up in). These are the main two area besides the high school I used to do runs and workouts.  I have not run these roads since college.  Pretty surreal just seeing how different these places are after 15 years.  Been too long.  Felt like I was at the beach today with the weather.  Very sunny and strong wind just like I was right by the Gulf of Mexico.  I am literally 20 minutes from it so I guess that counts.  8:10AP

Sounds like a fun run for you today

I have been to Beaumont a handful of times. That must be close to where you are. I read this last year.

"Is Beaumont, Texas the saddest city in America? Yes, if we're to judge by Twitter prose, which is exactly what a team from the University of Vermont did. Their study found that tweets from Beaumont contained a whole lot of curse words and not enough "happy" words, such as rainbow, love, beauty, hope, wonderful, and wine."

I would agree Josh. There is a lot of poverty and sadness down here. Pretty crazy sometimes but there is a lot of good here too. That's funny you brought that up though. I'm running the Gusher Half Marathon Saturday here in Beaumont, TX

Looking good Spence, take care of business on a near-home course Saturday!

Yeah - the attorneys that I told that to down there didn't much appreciate it either. And obviously basing it on words is pretty subjective. A glass of wine may be happy whereas a box of wine is usually pretty sad. Good luck with your race! You're coming into form nicely.
