AM - 3.25 miles with Finn before going to the hospital for the procedure.  Unfortunately they found a new blockage right near the prior stent.  80% occlusion.  New stent is in now and I am to be discharged later this afternoon.

Yikes. What does that mean for a recovery time?

Mike - the doctor's said - "hey you can walk jog even tomorrow and resume with moderate running within a week if you feel up to it...just no heavy lifting with the right arm where the inserted the catheter through the artery for the procedure."

Boston is less than 2 weeks away. They did not rule out that I could even do that if I kept the effort reasonable.

So I walked and jogged 3 miles this morning less than 24 hours after the procedure.

Pretty amazing right?

That's beyond amazing! I cannot believe the turnaround is that quick. Then again, your are WAY more fit than most people.

Also, I'll be in Boston too :)

Thanks Mike. Here's hoping it all works out.

Good luck in Boston - it will be a bit different with the rolling start plan - and having it in October too.

Maybe we will run into each other!

Glad you got the issue sorted, Bret. Excellent news.

Good thing they looked and were able to put in a stent. Great news you can still do Boston, that is amazing!
