AM - 8 miles easy in the town of Fishers Indiana - had a nice run on a warmer than expected fall morning - but really enjoyed the smell of the maple leaves on the damp ground.  Not something too common in Florida.  Got a little rain during the run and took a tumble (more like a head first slide) in the dark when my foot caught the edge of a curb as I was running across an intersection.  No real damage done - just missing some skin on my hand.

Accept your age with grace: your legs don't have the strength to lift you up and over the curb - I know this feeling too. Soon, you'll be pole vaulting up onto the pavement/sidewalk(?) with your walking stick:)

Hope the hand is ok. My favoutie thing about running is the smell of damp leaves in Autumn/Fall.

Thank you for the age-reality check!!

Looks like I banged up my knee too - bit stiff and sore. Nothing serious though, I don't think.

You gotta start wearing your rollerblade wrist guards while running

Sorry about the fall. I do that two or three times each winter.

Many an Indiana curb has taken me out! I do worry about people running on ice. I remember reading Paul's blog last year and he was doing 1000s or mile intervals and he said he had to slow down to 5:30 or 5:40 because of the ice (of course that pace is moving on drive pavement). I usually do my old man shuffle when it gets snowy and icy.
