AM - in Cleveland - did a run from downtown - past Cleveland Stadium and the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.  Headed north along Lake Erie on a service road, aptly named Marginal Road.  Not much to see but an old executive airport and some shuttered businesses and a school.  Perhaps I should have run south along the Lake?  8.25 miles with a fast last mile.  Head back home this afternoon.

PM - back at home - got an earlier flight than planned and so was able to get out for a second run this evening of 6.25 miles easy.

I continue to be in awe of your consistency. Can't help but think that this is the year you should be running Des News.

Just running the 10k tomorrow (my new "specialty") Should be fun.

Following on from Rob's consistency point, this is the important time - I think you'll notice a jump in your fitness levels soon. This is the point where you have to keep going, keep banging out the miles, keep doing the doubles when you're tired. Then when you do your hills and speed, things will fall into place and I'm positive that your running will be more economic and much faster than before. Stick in there, Bret.

Thanks guys - this week marks the end of my aerobic build-up; as I move to hills for the next 4 weeks (should be a challenge in pancake-flat Florida). I have gotten past the early fatigue and question marks of the big miles - the hills will test my mettle, I am sure.

Good luck in the 10k today Rob - looking forward to your report.
