PR's

5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:59:00 (how cool is that?!)  (1:02:45/56:15) AP: 8:30 (8:57/8:02).  Last 3-4  miles were at ~7:20-7:40 pace.  What a difference 20 degrees makes ...

What great racing this weekend (Tufts women's 10K tomorrow).  Congratulations runners!!

Have a wonderful Sunday bloggers!

AM: (11 miles, 1:30:01). 24:17wu/23:50cd  15 x 45" w/2` recovery (fartlek version of 15 x 200 meters w/full recovery).  These look easy, but with full recovery the "200's" are pretty fast ... it is not a stamina workout, but pure neuromuscular!  Hopefully, it will work, my speed is not all it could be right now!

PM: easy 4.

We are heading up to Flagstaff this weekend, it should be fun -- especially since highs here are back in the 90s this week (but the lows are a beautiful 50F, so I won't complain ;-) ).

Happy Tuesday bloggers, run fast, run fun!

AM: (8 miles, 1:10:45). Ran up the Upper Oldham Trail ... up is the operative word here.  It only climbed about 3-4 miles, but it was steep and rocky, then I ran down Mt. Elden Lookout road to Schultz Creek Canyon and ran on a little trail there until I hit the turn-around, and came back.  This mountain biker talks a little about the area that I was running (Day 4 Mount Elden).  I did not get up to 9,000ft, but I am pretty sure I was up at 7500 - 8000.  I took it pretty easy - mainly because I am still banged up from my fall yesterday - and I did not want to fall again.  The trails are just so pretty (and right out the back door) I couldn't bear to run on the roads.

PM: easy 4.

Tonight we are going to dinner with Greg and Tracy (McMillan) for Dean's birthday!  Tomorrow I have to get my long run in early so we can stop by and see my Dad on my way back to Tucson.  Today I am working ... but looking forward to a nice night out.

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!
