PR's

5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:56:09 ... ran to Sugarhouse park did 5 laps on the road and then ran home (29:05, 12:20, 11:47, 11:48, 11:50, 11:49, 27:28).  Amazingly consistent for how badly I feel when I am running right now.

Congratulations again bloggers!

52:20 - ran on the Shoreline trail up Dry Creek Canyon.  It has been almost 8 months since I have run this route!! wow.  It was harder than I remembered, and I took a "wrong" turn on the way back to my office, but I found my way back (just took an upper trail that dumped me out in a different spot).

1:22:25.  Ran to Liberty park did 3.5 laps and came home.  This weather is my second least favorite (second to speed work in 90-100F), the temp was fine until I was soaked, in which case it was cold ;-).  Nice to be able to run, despite the fact that I am so bone tired I can't see straight (it has been a problem for a couple weeks now - and getting worse).

58:10 ...

bagged a workout today -- things are not going well.  I think a couple down weeks running how I feel might be in order.  This is just one more in a series of workouts that are not going as they should. Pretty depressing.  I am hoping things get back to normal after Spain.

1:39:46 -- ran to Liberty Park and did 5 laps around the perimeter on the grass and then home (somewhere between 11 and 11.5).

Have a nice couple of weeks bloggers. I might be able to log on while we are gone, but there is chance I won't be able to ... I will be running, but most likely no more than 6-7 miles a day. My goal is to take some down time, enjoy the trip and see if I feel better when I get back.

Take care!
