5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

AM: (8 miles, 1:13:45).  Had to get up really early to get my run in so we could drive to Phoenix to see John.  My leg has been hurting like crazy all week.   It still hurts, but now it hurts because of the treatment, hopefully it will feel better tomorrow (tonight I know my legs will feel dead because of the treatment, but it will likely be about 104 so my legs will be the least of my worries ;-).  Fed Big Boy some carrots (Big Boy the horse, not Big Boy the Dean ;-)) this morning, CoCo wasn't around.

PM:(4 miles hot and easy).

Have a great Saturday.  Congratulations to all of you that had spectacular races today (allie and Lily were impressive!)

You make me tired! You are one busy girl! Hope the leg gets feeling better soon! Wish I could give you a bit of our cooler temps we've been enjoying!

Hoping your legs are feeling fresh this morning (or at least in much less pain).

:)

Hi Kim!! Nice to hear from you! I am pretty sure you are busy than me most of the time, I seem to spend a lot of times running in circles ;-). I am glad you guys are getting nicer weather, I hope you have a l-o-n-g Fall!

Hi Teena!! You are so very sweet, I feel much better thank you. I was actually thinking about you last night because I was so sore from the "treatment" that I wanted to put some anti-inflammatory cream on my leg. BUT, what is supposed to happen in that the treatment itself causes inflammation which is suppose to create an inflammatory response by your body that aids in healing. SO, in some cases it is actually better NOT to inhibit this response (by taking anti-inflammatories). This discussion with myself made me think of you, and wonder how you were doing ... so it was "kizmet" that you posted to my blog today. (thank you).
