4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

AM: (8 miles, 1:09:19).  Ahhhhh ... I finally got 8 hours of sleep (first time since thanksgiving) and I felt fabulous this morning ...

PM: (4 miles easy).

I have to finish my Christmas shopping today, not only am I a procrastinator, I seriously have not had any time to do any of this type of thing this semester.  Next week will be super busy (I have about 3 weeks to finish two papers that I am working on with other people, one paper of my own, two grants that will be submitted in February that I have to begin sketching out a design for, and find some papers and create homework assignments for my next semesters class).  It will be fun though, I can sleep in most days and work into late in the night -- I love when classes are not in session and everyone else is away ;-).

I hope you have a wonderful weekend bloggers!

Sleep?!? Christmas?!? When did all this happen? :)

Nice work on the 2-a-day and good luck with that shopping - I refuse to go within 1/2 mile of any mall/superstore today since it is the last Saturday of shopping! You are one BRAVE woman.

It was not very fun RAD!! It wasn't actually by choice, I signed up to adopt a family just before thanksgiving and they did not respond until LAST WEEKEND!! Last weekend I had guests in town and during the week I work 9-10 hours/day and just couldn't get much shopping done -- so, wahla, there I was ... on the last Saturday before Christmas ... yikes. I tried to stay calm and think of the family I had adopted. I tell you the day had all the things I despise, crowds, screaming, long lines ... but, it was good for me, I learned to exercise controlled breathing and was actually pretty happy by the end of it all ;-). Now I have two bikes sitting in my dining room that are the cutest things and stacks of presents to wrap.

I hope you are doing a little better and have gotten some sleep this week?
