We did a new drill in place of striders today, a football drill type thing I used to do in 8th grade. It made my thighs a little sore. Then we did 2 miles and I felt pretty good by the end of it. Then I did 1000m, 800m, 600n, 400m, 400m. It was mostly at 3200m pace, the 400ms were more at 1600m. Everything was supposed to be at 75 second pace besides the 400m. I ran the 1000m in 3:06, the 800m was at 2:27, the 600m was in 1:47 or 1:48, the first 400m was 67, and the 2nd was a max effort, I went a little harder than I wanted to at first and ended running 62, which is ok for the first good hard track workout of the year. I've really missed them. We did a good recovery in between each rep, I'm excited for more track workouts, tomorrow will be a nice relaxing run. I'm continuing to feel better, not all the way back yet, but I'm feeling better than I have in a long time. |
