Today we did the gully long run time trial. It was a very good run :). It was icy, I went out fast, my asthma kicked in after just a mile or a mile and a half. But I fought back, today I didn't give up when it got tough, I gave it EVERYTHING I had and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Davis was on my tail the entire run and I kept pushing and staying ahead of him, I was really struggling and he was gaining, then I relaxed, lowered my shoulders and arms, relaxed my face, and ran faster. I kicked hard, I put on 150 meters between me and Davis in the last mile. I ran a 43:40, and Coach Murphy said I could put it as 43:35 which is a 5 second PR! And thats with the Gully being covered in ice. I am very pleased with this run. I stayed a couple minutes later sending a text and saw Kramer finish, his car died so it was good I stayed a couple minutes later so I could give hime a ride home. Tomorrow will be a good workout at the oval. I am so grateful for Coach Murphys hard work in training me and my team! I have a really good feeling about this track season. I am going to do everything I can to fulfill my dreams for the season,
