Great track workout! The best I've ever had! The idea of 8 400m repeats at 65 seconds seemed scary at first, I was a little scared but I did incredible. We did 8 400m repeats at goal 1600m pace. That is sub 4:20 for me so I was thinking 65s. The first one was supposed to be 5 seconds slower. So I ran 69, I was happy with it, I was scared of what was to come though. I hit 64s for all of them!!! It was one of those special workouts where you're hitting faster than your goal split even though you're only trying to hit them. I was very motivated to finish out the workout at this pace, and I rose to the challenge! The last 400m I ran even faster and got a 61! I didnt intend for the last to be any faster but it was, and I'm really glad it was! This was a great and beautiful day for a spectacular workout. I'm really happy, and I'm excited to run the time trial tomorrow. Especially since whatever time I get will be the day after a great track workout, whatever time i get will be that much more impressive! Also i get to break out my new spikes. |
