Did around 4 miles easy in the morning. We drove to Portland in the afternoon and got to the track meet about an hour before the 5K started. My goal for the race was to crack 15:00, and so I decided to go for broke and hold 70's for as long as I could That ended up being about 3000 - I was 8:45 for 3000 (a PR btw). Then I got a little scared and backed off - but held a decent pace to finish in 14:47.
Towards the end I felt some tighness in my right leg and had some difficulty kicking. However, I was able to find another gear in the last 200m and upgrade my place on the home stretch. Very happy with the result.
