trail run in huntington state park. 1hr 59 min. felt fairly good today. much better than yesterday. shoes now have 73 miles on them. so hilly here. the trails are pretty well maintained and most of them are like dirt roads so i don't have to worry about snakes. i'm psyched i have yet to see one this year...will only run a few miles tomorrow in prep for the half marathon trail race and the post race summit of mt greylock which should be a good workout. over 2,000 feet climb in 2 miles. a part of me just wants to run 14 tomorrow and hit 65 again....oh well....last race for sure before iceland.

You are a racing fool for sure. Good luck!

Thanks! it seems like i've done a race every single week, with the thursday night race series i might be averaging more than 1 a week...i think i'm starting to get slow though, will find out on sunday.

Your probably just getting worn down, not slow. Take an easy week and see if that recharges you.

If you keep improving, why change anything? I guess theoretically you could improve faster, but given that you have improved 3 vdots this year (based on 5k times, which you could PR again for a 4th vdot if you wanted to) I doubt it.
