June - Riverview 5k  - Bummed I missed signing up for this one. It's one of my favorites!
Sept - Gatorade/Steelers 5k. (Signed up!)
Sept - IKEA Montour Trail Half  (prob not, but leaving it on here)
Sept - The Great Race 10k (My Running 101 goal race)
Nov - Dirt Monster 5mi (Gotta do it again no matter what!)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Finish recovering from my injuries and build mileage.  That is all.

Personal:

My name is Wes, I'm married with two wonderful children. The nickname BaldNSpicy came from the fact that I have been balding for a (long) while now and spicy for my love of very spicy foods (Thai and extremely hot wings are my favorites).  If eating doesn't bring me near tears and leave me sweating, it's not worth eating.  :-)

Oh, and I'm also known for my doorags.

We made it!  Resort is awesome!  I got a trail map from the front desk so I'm looking forward to exploring a few this week.  There's a Mt. Baldy (11,068' elevation).  I'm going to take the tram up there and then run the Mt. Baldy trail to the top, take my picture, then head back down.  Maybe tomorrow...  Should be awesome!  :-)

you must be at Snowbird! Mt Baldy would be a great run. I was just up there last week with my sister, but didn't do much hiking this year. Enjoy the resort it is amazing! We also like to take the tram up, then hike down the mountain (crest trail I think). If you want a bit more of a challenge hike UP then ride down :) I hope you enjoy your stay!!

(sorry, I was sitting here bored and blog stalking as I am 'bouncing' baby to sleep and came across your blog. Hope you don't mind the intrusion!)

Utah must be great right now, very jealous. Have fun and run a couple of miles for me.

Yes, RAD, we're at Snowbird. We're staying at The Cliff Lodge. Great rooms and very relaxing. I only wish we had more "down time" so we could enjoy the resort more.

Wednesday we may be having some time here, so I may get up early and get a all-day tram ticket, take it up in the early AM, run to Mt. Baldy and then run down. We'll do another sightseeing trip up later that day.

Thanks for stopping by! Don't be a stranger. Blog readers are always welcome. :-)

Flat - yes, UT is really quite nice. The weather isn't too bad at all, and up here at Snowbird, it's actually somewhat cold at night. I'll try and get a few miles in for ya. My Brother in law is a runner too, so we'll be running on the roadtrip part of our trip. We're planning a run around Devil's Tower and a run near Mt. Rushmore, etc. It will be great!
