Sept - Gatorade/Steelers 5k. (Signed up!)
Sept - IKEA Montour Trail Half  (prob not, but leaving it on here)
Sept - The Great Race 10k (My Running 101 goal race)
Nov - Dirt Monster 5mi (Gotta do it again no matter what!)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Finish recovering from my injuries and build mileage.  That is all.

Personal:

My name is Wes, I'm married with two wonderful children. The nickname BaldNSpicy came from the fact that I have been balding for a (long) while now and spicy for my love of very spicy foods (Thai and extremely hot wings are my favorites).  If eating doesn't bring me near tears and leave me sweating, it's not worth eating.  :-)

Oh, and I'm also known for my doorags.

Thanks guys. I've been swamped with work and so it's been a few days since I ran last and equally as long since I've been on the blog. Sorry to deprive you of my incredible comments. LOL

The thunderstorms and heavy rain should end by tonight so I'll try and get outside tomorrow. I may have to run in the early morning since the plan is to take a half day off and go to an afternoon Pirates game with my wife.

Then Thursday, I'm taking a half day off (as well as all day Friday) to take my son to the Fathers & Sons campout a day early, camping until Saturday morning. THEN, turning around and coming home by 10am or so, in time to get everything ready to go for a party we're putting together for a family that's moving this month.

So, I'll need to find some killer trail runs where we're camping. :-)

My son and I decided we're going to camp in style this year. So I'm bringing the power inverter and my Belgian waffle maker and we're going to make my famous waffles Friday morning. No runny eggs for us...until the Bishopric makes breakfast Saturday morning. Actually, that's not even true because they usually have it catered. Either way, it will be a blast if the rain stops!

I can't wait for the rain to leave here too, it has been quite the hinderance. Have fun at the baseball game and camping. The waffles sound delicious.

Baseball game was great, although we lost (shocked...NOT) 5-0. Probably no waffles since we didn't go up tonight due to the thunderstorms that had better come in like they forecasted! My son will be devastated tomorrow morning if the ground isn't wet...
