Personal:

My name is Wes, I'm married with two wonderful children. The nickname BaldNSpicy came from the fact that I have been balding for a (long) while now and spicy for my love of very spicy foods (Thai and extremely hot wings are my favorites).  If eating doesn't bring me near tears and leave me sweating, it's not worth eating.  :-)

Oh, and I'm also known for my doorags.

Oh snap!  I've got to gain 8+ lbs before tomorrow at noon!  Help!

Edit - Rode the bike again today.  Felt good, but was still cold.  Tomorrow is my "day off" since I'll be working from home and have a doctor's appt in the middle of the day.  The doc freaks out about any weight loss because "I can't afford to lose any more."  I was at 156 when I got home from the ride from work, but I had to remind myself I hadn't hydrated well today and I just rode home.  A few hours works wonders for putting weight back on.  I'm up to 159 and climbing!  lol

Instead of putting croutons on your salad, try pop tarts.

Yeah, be creative! Vegetable oil milkshake? Deep fried butter?

Shoot, had salad tonight with dinner. I should have gotten pop tarts. Not sure I can do veggie oil milkshakes - too healthy, there's veggies in there. The deep fried butter would work but only if it's real butter. I'll check the label.

I wonder if they can do an emergency fat transfusion from a liposuction patient. Now just to find the patient...

You are funny. What weight did you start out at? 156 does seem pretty light for a married man.

From baldnspicy on Thu, Nov 04, 2010 at 07:53:43 from 72.77.120.222

Well, I was hovering around the low 170s at the beginning of the year. Up until about a month ago, I was at 160-165 consistently. Admittedly, I haven't eaten like I should the last month or so, so that probably accounts for some of the weight loss. It just comes at a "bad" time. :-)

Looking at weight charts, for a 6'0" male, 149-160 is standard for a "small frame" and 157-170 for a medium frame. I'm not "big boned" so I'm actually not bad where I'm at.

Up until I turned 30, I weighed about 135 lbs or so. I could still wear my 32x34 jeans from high school. I could eat anything I wanted, etc. Post-30, I started to gain and I think the highest I got to was about 190 and a 37-38" waist.

I saw the pop tarts at the grocery store this morning but the rice crispy treats looked more like croutons, so I got those instead. That should do the trick! :-)

135. Those were the days.

Chocolate chip cookie dough flavored pop tarts + Chocolate milk = breakfast of champions!

I don't care what the doc says; you're phat!

From Mattrow on Thu, Nov 04, 2010 at 12:39:18 from 192.107.247.6

What a problem to have. I don't think a doctor can say you are at an OK weight. You can have some of my weight I gained while injured.

From baldnspicy on Thu, Nov 04, 2010 at 15:27:44 from 72.77.120.222

It's been a decade since I've seen 135, Flat, which I'm OK with. My wife is happy she can see me now when I turn sideways.

You could be right, Mattrow. I feel best between 160-165 which is where I've been for months before now.

Back from the doc and she didn't weigh me and didn't say anything about my weight or anything so I guess I panicked for no reason. :-)

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll keep them in the hat if I get down to 135 again when my mileage peaks early next year. ;-)
