Evening run in Detroit.  Monday we filed our permit for our June climb of Mt Mckinley, AK.  I'm beyond excited for this climb, one of the last remaining serious mountains that still requires no guides.  I'm estimating it will take about two weeks and the training starts now.  The other two guys climbing are in much better shape than I am and stronger overall.  It will be a good incentive to get into some strength training and maybe even spark up my interest in running again.

Three miles around the home loop with the kids then dropped them off at school and headed up to Avon for a mountain bike ride. This ended up being the longest I've done this year, just over 36 miles, crossing over to the Box Elder range and over Ben Lomond. Took all day, barely made it back to pick up the kids from school.

3X2 mile repeats with warm up and jog in between. Did these right on six minute pace and they were much harder than they should have been. I am just not bouncing back from workouts this year.

Medium distance run in Milwaukee.  2nd good day of lifting again finally.  I have not done my lifting circuit for nearly a year now and I think it's really hurt my fitness.

Running today through part of my run through the Harley Classic in Milwaukee.  Are there any groups on opposite sides of the planet more than marathon runners and bikers?
