"Our legs are tight, our feet are flying, and we are gliding over the roll of the land. The sun is up, the air is fresh, the stone is old, and we are free and at peace. The clock has stopped because another time has taken over." C. Bowden

It's been Bill Murray time at our house lately.  The kids are stuck on all his movies, Ghost Busters, Groundhog Day, and What About Bob.

12 mile Fartlek run in Denver.  2 warm up, 1 to 5 minute pyramid style alternating fast and slow.  This has always been a run that shakes out any lingering soreness.  In college we used to run this as two competeing teams, with two bikes.  You ran as fast as you could to where the bike was picked it up and biked as fast as you could for a block or two, and started running again.  Each guy on the team grabbed the bike when he could.  It was great since it mattered little how fast each guy was.

Easy pace recovery morning.  The goal this week was a start on quality base miles for Oct and to get as dead as possible before our trail run Saturday.  I'd like to do the run on as tired legs as possible since I know the pace will be pretty slow with who is going.

Detroit is grey and cold as usual.  Why do people live here?

Just have to add here that I wrote Garmin about their watch falling off my wrist and getting lost in the Des News Marathon and they agreed to send me a new one.  This company is amazing.  Almost makes up for having to return the 610 three times for problems

Really neat trail run this morning with my brother from Hurricane Pass trailhead up to School Room Glacier, Tetons and back down.  Just incredible mountains, loved this trail!  Planning to run the entire trail to Jenny Lake and back in two weeks which is 42 miles, since this trail has so much soft dirt running.  This was my brother's first run in years over ten miles and we never stopped once on the way except for some quick pics.
