Finally got Bently back from Mexico and Columbia. It was a good trip for him and a learning experience. He didn't summit either mountain he was trying for which was what I thought would happen, but he did make it to 16,300 feet on Sleeping Lady. The failed trips are the best for learning. Most impressive was that he slept in the open on trails and beaches. Something I don't do unless emergency. One night he slept at 12,800 feet in the high rainforest of Columbia. Next month we head together to summit Orizaba the highest in Mexico. He spent less than $600 total on this 9 day trek. Less than the price of an Xbox 360. This solo trip of his has given me enough confidence that I'll take him with on a good climb. I flew in this morning from Chicago and he flew in from Cartegena and we met up on lower Dry Canyon to snowshoe the Mt Logan ridge

| Gym day. I've been a member of an old school gym here for at least a decade. More a family place with two pools, basketball courts, and racquetball. This Fall Golds Gym went out of business and as a courtesy my gym picked up their members for the remainder of their contracts. What a different crowd. The steroid troopers. String shirts, backwards hats, and gold jewelry. This morning two young guys were flexing and taking selfies in the locker room mirror. A crusty old guy stops and asks, "You guys want me to take some pictures of you together?" I couldn't help it and just busted up which got me an "F u Homie". Probably slashed tires on my car within a few days too. Good times. 40 min lifting and an hour hard run.

| Nice run in Ballast Point park, Tampa. Sunny and 70. Reading To Be A Runner right now and it's been the first book on running that I've liked in a while. Just simple and fun.
