Through this last week my heel has been hurting pretty good.  I was hoping it would fade away with some easy short runs through the week but by Friday it was worse.  Not really sure what it is but hoping not some small type of bone fracture.  Last night I decided to bag doing the race today, just didn't make sense, and just run it at a slow marathon pace for fun.  I didn't feel like not starting another race.  But even then it was hard.  This foot thing is going to change my fall running.  This will be a week of cross training.  1:20 time

Sorry about your heel and the race, I hope you can get it clearing up in time for TCM! I would love to run with you and I was able to get us a room at a VERY great price!

Sorry to hear about your heal. You've been a machine all year long. I'm sending you good, healthy heal vibes right now. Can you feel it? :-) Putting it out there that with a little TLC your heal will feel better soon. It's tough for us addicts to change course.

Thanks guys. Jeff, I'm going to run it. This is just a pretty good bruised heel from that rocky Teton trail run I think. I could run through it but I actually welcome the break right now. Good to get into some sports with some friends I've set aside for the running thing. I also think it would be wise to actually follow coach Murphy's advice one time and get some rest!

Bummer. Get well soon.
