Crazy busy day landing in Austin this afternoon, picking up the rental car, one hour run on Town Lake trail in the 101 degree heat and off to spend the evening with my friend who just got deployed to Kabul.  It puts things in perspective.  I get to thinking I have a lot of tough things to get done in life and then my best friend gets a phone call that in 8 days he will be spending the next 8 months away from home.  He's only one year away from retirement.
