1/2 marathon: Geoduck Gallop, February 2011. 1:42:23, 1st in age group.
Waterfront 15K (September 2010), 1:14:43. 3rd in AG. Lake Padden Duathlon (July 2010), 1:36:something. 1st in AG . 10K: Smelt Run, La Conner (2010) 47:14. 2nd in AG. I have fun every time I run, and have recently overcome the "I can't go fast anymore" hurdle. I'm having fun going faster and working towards becoming even faster. I have raised two running children, one competitive and one not. I have learned to run in ice and snow and I don't complain. Short-Term Running Goals: Work towards a faster marathon by Spring 2012. Get my 5K down to 21:30. Place in my division at duathlon and triathlon. Train for biathlon.

| Yoga only today, plus a short bike ride. We rode along quiet roads, and suddenly heard very loud music coming from what looked like a community hall (grange hall?) we stopped to investigate, and ended up crashing a wedding party! Fun dancing and more rice wine (ugh!). Gave the bride and groom and gift of money, and received packages of red sticky rice wrapped up in banana leaves for later. Hard to carry on our bikes! |

| Was supposed to run for 2 hours, but this is all I could manage here in the jungle. We are in some national jungle, staying in little cabins, very dirty, with spiders larger than volkswagons! Fun to see the jungle in the early light, though! Closes thing to a peaceful run I have had in this country. The humidity is beyond belief, and I was completely trashed and exhausted from it in 1:30. |

| 40 minute am run with strides, and a 1:07 minute pm run, with tempo intervals. We have been switching locations so much, and the humidity is so high, my running clothes are perpetually wet and smelly. I will be happy to wash clothes soon! |

| Beach resort for one night! I sent all my laundry in and did a quick 35 minute run in the am before we left. We will be on a boat for the next two days, so no running. |

| Slept well on the boat! 2 hours of yoga, and 3 hours of kayaking. Swimming from the boat, and a short trek up one of the islands to a small pagoda on top! |
