I have learned to run in ice and snow and I don't complain.

Place in my division at duathlon and triathlon.

Train for biathlon.

Used the treadmill at the gym today.  3.5 miles in track flats, then 1 mile in barefeet.  I tried a few strides at 7:20 pace, and felt good.  I believe that I might be ready for a track workout tomorrow evening!  That is very exciting.

My gym does not like me to run in bare feet, so I may either buy a treadmill or find a new gym.  Why can people do yoga in bare feet but not run?  Noone at the gym had a good answer to this question.

Followed the run by some intense upper body weights (I will be sore tomorrow!), and some squats with weight, then all my stretching, core work, and conditioning exercises.  Made for a long time at the gym, but everything is done!

May ride the indoor bike this evening if time permits.

I like how you called their number on the bare feet. Question authority!

My guess is that it is a liability on a machine---no machines in Yoga. I do love running barefoot on my treadmill at home (have not done that in a long time), it feels good!!

Nice workout, best of luck with the track workout. you are ready for it!

That was my guess, too, Kelli, but I wanted to be a smart alleck instead.

oh dear I found on my treadmill at home it hurt the soles of my feet I like to run barefoot on the beach...you can run on the tm at our gym barefoot I see a man do this all the time so fly over to Liverpool :-)

The bottoms of my feet are kinda sore! This does not happen on the track, so maybe treadmill is different.

Burt: Don't worry, I will continue to question authority and try to get my way in all things.

I think Kelli is right -- but believe you me, I could do just as much damage in yoga as on the treadmill ... it just depends on how klutzy you are ;-).

The treadmill "burns" the bottom of my feet ...

I'm hoping to get some bare-footage done this Winter on the TM. Let us know how your feet are feeling tomorrow.

Sounds like time well spent at the gym today. Nice.

I actually run in socks on the treadmill, they get very dirty!!!!

From auntieem on Tue, Oct 27, 2009 at 00:11:31 from 67.182.145.8

Kelli: socks are a good idea! I'll have to try it. My feet are kind of burning.

Great workout, auntieem. Hmmm. Treadmills and bare feet. Something to think about.

When I use to yoga at the gym I brought my own mat...Maybe that is why bareboot yoga is okay?
