I have fun every time I run, and have recently overcome the "I can't go fast anymore" hurdle.  I'm having fun going faster and working towards becoming even faster.

I have raised two running children, one competitive and one not.

I have learned to run in ice and snow and I don't complain.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Work towards a faster marathon by Spring 2012.

Get my 5K down to 21:30.

Place in my division at duathlon and triathlon.

Train for biathlon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Joining Forrest Gump

Running again!  Six gloriously muddy, wet and rainy miles on my favorite hilly woodsy trail!  With four of my running buddies.  It was fantastic to be running again, without Garmin, without discipline, without a plan!   No splits, no MP, no easy pace, just the run.  It felt positively primal.  No cougar sightings.

Happy.

Wow, an entry from the future! How come you've got an entry for the 17th? It's the 11th. ??????

Good eyes, SnoFlake. I noticed the pithiness, but not the date.

Me either!

I was so overwhelmed by the content, I completely overlooked the date as well.

Oops! I don't know how to get it out of here, so we'll just see what happens this coming Saturday!

Here's what I hope for: Beautiful Fall weather, crisp and sunny. A longish trail run, 10 miles at least, with mud! No pace data. I will run like a wild thing!

From JD on Mon, Oct 12, 2009 at 11:43:14 from 70.96.78.157

Sounds like my run on the 17th! Minus the mud...

SnoFlake - your attention to detail is going to make you a great reporter.

Wow. You are quite the adventurer. I'm glad you had a good time and are happy.
