I have raised two running children, one competitive and one not.

I have learned to run in ice and snow and I don't complain.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Work towards a faster marathon by Spring 2012.

Get my 5K down to 21:30.

Place in my division at duathlon and triathlon.

Train for biathlon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Joining Forrest Gump

A hot muggy morning.  Legs felt tired after yesterday's race, and I was inclined to sit around.  Thank goodness for two friends, who showed up and drug me out on an early run.  We ran easy pace up Galbraith Mountain.  Lots of elevation gain, then lots of elevation loss.  I felt great and was glad to have it done early in the day, as it is going to be over 80 today and very humid.

Going to a running birthday party tonight.  I don't know if that means more running or not (I hope not, actually).  We are wearing running clothes.

You ran up a mountain today? Wow. You are hard core.

My money is on there being some running at the running birthday party. Let us know how it goes.

I'm interested in this running party...I wish I knew enough runners to have such a party!

Ha, Carolyn, it was a very small mountain.

Running clothes is better than birthday suits.
