Minuteman 5k        I iced my ankle last night and on the way driving to the race. Luckily, my ankle didn't bother me during the warm up or race but a tiny bit on the cool down. My time when I looked at the race clock was 25:33. I was disappointed in my time. A few weeks ago, I ran a 5k a minute and a half faster. It was at sea level so maybe that's why there is such a big difference. During the first two miles of the race, I felt really good and was meeting my time goals for the miles. The last mile, however, I felt really hot and my body started shivering.

You ran well and your time will come down. Stay focused on building your base miles and the faster times will come. Also, Ice on the ankle may not be the best before the race. You want to warm it up, ice could make it stiff and less flexible. Always ice after though. It's great having you on the team.
