Tough 8 mile tempo run at the track today with beginning miles in 5:38 all the way down to 5:16 for the last one today.  13 miles total. Some stiffness and a tight IT band this morning but other than that, nothing to worry about.   I noticed  a measurable rise in my threshold however as I was hitting a 165-168 bpm heart rate actually toward the end. I really did not feel like I was carrying the bear on my back yet.  Encouraging...  Darkhhorse out.

I am making progress with the limited amount of mileage I can put in due to time constraints - I am just barely hitting around/over 40 mpw right now, and am doing Del Sol this year - I even have the same legs you had last year, although I think the first one is a little different :) After that, I'll have to see about maybe setting some PR's in 5K, 10K and 1/2 marathon, leading up to (hopefully) SGM again this year.
