Made a trip to Sasha's to pace Josse and run with Cody. We had a good time running with everybody including two of Sasha's new friends. Anyway, today was another long run with 8 miles of MP work and 2 miles of AT.  Did some pickup surges in the middle up to 5:20 ish pace with Sasha right on my heels every step of the way.  I like varying the pace to make things interesting and to also see where we are at fitness wise. It seems as things are really starting to look better all around as racing season approaches.  I then said goodbye to Sasha and Cody and went another 5 miles to extend my run for a total of 25 miles.  Oh man it feels good to run 25 miles. It just gives you a good feeling of achievement, and especially now as I approach marathon season. Kinda like at the end of a hard days work you know.

Dark Horse out....

Hey thanks for the pacing efforts, it was great. Was it you that ran into my mom on the trail?

Yes, I'm sorry I didn't really stop to talk much. I was in a hurry as I had to be home at a certain time. And it kind of surprised me as I passed that she asked me if I ran with Sasha.

That is some mileage! I'm glad to read such an upbeat entry. I should know this from Del Sol but what is your spring marathon? Sorry I couldn't join you guys Sat but I still needed a little more time off on my own...

Air Darkhorse, awesome runs the last couple of weeks. Confidence, you got, great work. 25 miles without being zonked for a couple of days, WOW.

Stay Kool, catching air, B of BS Rools out

Good running as of late. What is next for you on the race calender?

From steve ashbaker on Tue, Mar 25, 2008 at 06:54:59

Adam, It's ok we'll hook up again some other time. This Saturday maybe?

Brent, I had an on day I guess. It helps when you get a decent amount of sleep though!

James, I am running the Utah Valley marathon next. I am running the Salt Lake marathon for a human rights organization protesting the Olympics being held in Beijing.
