AM-9 miles this morning with 6 aerobic resistance aka Tinman Tempo miles all sub-six with 2 coming down back home at 5:28 and 5:34. 7th east course. Excellent workout that worked well for me this morning. Comin back for more later. Still wearing shorts, none those sissy tights for me! Just kidding, I say that as I'm getting ready to head out to the garage to look for some in storage somewhere.

PM-6 miles tonight easy-medium pace. Started out loafing through the back alley and then opened up to what Sasha calls "Impress the Public Pace." Sorry Sasha, I just thought that was funny the way you coined that term. He is right however and I too have been guilty on occasion, but it felt ok and I was having fun so what the heck let's go for a little fartlek run. 6 miles total, no time. Draper Christmas loop.

Great job Steve your really rolling out the miles. How's the sleeping going with the baby? Thank for your advice I did read the information on letsrun.com on John Kellogg, and your right about the aerobic base information, that building that up will cause you a better performance in your races if you train that way.

Yeah, I keep telling myself I need to start a base period of only aerobic running but I'm having fun right now doing the speed and occasional race. I'm phasing it out as I did 3 VO2 max miles instead of 4 in a workout the other day. I'm still going to keep the marathon pace run though as these are not anaerobic in nature per say..

Oh yeah, that thing they call sleep? We'll get plenty when we die right?

From wheakory on Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 18:32:00

When we die were going to be running on th e streets of gold in heaven.

I'm going to also keep a MP run once a week just to have at least one faster run. Running slower and building the base aerobic miles seems to be the key to a great performance when you start racing from what Paul and you have said and what reading I've been doing. I'm looking forward to this type of training for now.

Amen to that Kory.
