Finally 4 easy miles to write in. And I'm not sure that easy would be a correct term either as I'm still feeling some pain. For the good news , things are settling down and after some networking and searching I finally found a good job, off unemployment and am working on getting a second part time on my days off to supplement. The circumstances surrounding this job are  interesting and all I can say is that it is a personal testimony of the blessings God can bestow when you finally place your trust in him. It is the first time that I have paid tithing for a while and I testify of it's value and importance both temporally and spiritually. So anyway things in the running department are on the back burner for good now. It's ok though, I have for the most part accomplished what I wanted to achieve all be it at too high of a price at times. I don't think I would do things quite the same way again.  As Adam's title in his blog says; A balance..   Dark Horse out.

With that approach (a balance I mean) I think everything goes in phases. Being down on running right now myself I can partially appreciate where you are coming from. I'm sorry that you have to deal with the career stuff at the same time. I really look forward to the day we are both lining up at a race really ready to run again...

Steve sorry to hear about the running. However I feel things are moving in the right direction in your life... Not that I know a lot about you but in reading through you blog and see your new aspirations of going to the temple and paying tithing I can relate that those are good goals.

Tithing is weird. There have been several times when my wife and I were both full time students or when we first started our business that we had zero dollars. Nothing! Yet we never felt poor or even down and out. We paid our tithing without hesitation and things always fell into place. They still do. In fact I'd be scared to death to see what happened if we stopped paying tithing.

Keep up the good work on a more spiritual goal- It will be a lot more rewarding in the end. Hang in there man!

You too Adam, Are things progressing on that injury of yours?

From Adam RW on Sat, Sep 27, 2008 at 09:14:54

Steve, It is getting better. I do not feel on to race but I will head down and see what I can do anyway. As we spoke about back at Magna, as long as you are happy what you are doing you must be on the right track.
